Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and efforts by two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The extensive trips she took with the President and Vice-President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on with Donald Trump. Kristin was a television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
